Phillip Ayotte
Phil Ayotte
Hi everyone, my name is Phil Ayotte; I'm a Senior management major with a minor in professional sales leadership. I was born and raised in South Windsor, CT, just twenty-five minutes west of Storrs. Perhaps it was proximity, or the savory ice cream at the bottom of Horsebarn Hill, or possibly the way that navy blue looked on me, all I knew is that something drew me to UConn. Though I spent my freshman year exclusively online, my first two years were of high engagement with the Business Connections Learning Community: a place I'd recommend living for any business student. This summer, I found myself working remotely from Kerry, Ireland, for our very own Daigle Labs, while concurrently living above and tending a countryside bar.
For many seniors such as myself, this fall semester is the beginning of our last leg in school. Having nearly seen it to the end, here is my advice to all: help is a two way road. Engage with people whom you believe can help you along your path, but always make sure you have something to offer in return. As biased as this may be, I believe some of the greatest minds in our school are found right here in the Boucher MENT department. They're here for you, so show that you're worth it. Don't hesitate to reach out, or drop in the Dean's Office weekday mornings to say hello where you'll find me at work behind the front desk. Best of luck this year!

Lauren Bonanno
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Bonanno and I am a senior Management major with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. As I have become exposed to the dozens of business opportunities UConn has to offer, I have learned a great deal about the future career path I want to pursue. While my freshman year was online and precluded true peer interactions and networking events, I have since branched out to many different organizations and opportunities, which have enhanced my passion for the business world. I am a member of the Women in Business Club, the Business Management Society, the Sports Business Association, and more. I have also recently participated in a Global Citizenship leadership development program and earned a certificate in diversity leadership. I am looking forward to all the future opportunities, learning from each other, and experiences to come!

Hi everyone, my name is Carson LaFemina; I am a Sophomore Management major with an intended minor in Business Law. I grew up in Niantic, Connecticut and I just finished my first internship this summer at a law firm in New London while also working at Big Y in Old Lyme as a Head Cashier. At UConn, I am the Vice President of the Business Connections Learning Community and I compete for its Mock Trial team. I knew as soon as I arrived at UConn that I would want to get deeply involved in the clubs and organizations that the university had to offer, and through my time I have developed real leadership and professional skills that will prove useful to me after graduation. As I work towards my goal of attending law school, I look forward to connecting with like minded students and promoting the various resources of the School of Business as a Management Ambassador.

Joaquin Uribe
Hi everyone my name is Joaquín Uribe, I am an international student from Ecuador, I am a sophomore with a management major. Excited about this year and the new objectives. This is my first year working part-time as a TA for the Entrepreneurial Journey class. One of my favorite classes from last semester I encourage you to take it, it’s easy, fun, and great to develop your business skills. I have become familiar with the courses and activities that are around the UConn business community and I have managed to form a good network of professors and students which has helped me a lot for future opportunities and goals throughout my academic year. I currently work with Daigle Labs and get to go on mission trips around the world and learn about the startup world. One of my recommendations is that you integrate a lot in any area that seems interesting to you, find out, and connect with people, because this business community has incredible scope for anything you want to do. It is not enough to say that I have felt very comfortable with the treatment that the school gives me when I am not clear about some things, the attention to the student is very welcoming. I have also got involved in Greek life and it’s pretty fun and nice since it enlarges my network.
